Naga holds Bachelors degree in Architecture with a gold medal from JNAFAU School of Planning and Architecture and Masters in IT in Building Science by research from IIIT-Hyderabad. Through his real-time application expertise in IT in Building science, he has been aiding IDSPL to accomplish several national and international technical research projects. In the development of guideline for Energy Conservation Building Code for Nigeria, Naga has worked to classify the climate of 15 locations on the basis of ASHRAE 90.1 and further cluster those categorized climates based on building passive and active strategies. He has also contributed in conducting collaborative residential credit line assessment for green mortgage implementation in India with Germany based consulting firm. Along with international research consulting projects, he has also been working with Indian academic research projects with School of Planning and Architecture – Delhi and Manipal University, Jaipur. By integrated programming in Rhino-Grasshopper, he is providing technical support to SPA-Delhi in developing shading evaluation widget with Ladybug and HoneyBee dependencies. In another project for SPA-Delhi, he has been working to suffice multi-objective, single platform simulation tool for UHI analysis on urban scale. Naga is also versed in developing custom tools on calibrated simulation tools through python scripting. In IDSPL, he has designed parametric EP-IDF generator and Excel interface IDF generator as a part of in-house research. He has also developed multi-process EP group simulation run program for Linux environment.
Other than technical research, Naga has contributed in capacity building programs for industry and academia. He has participated in training ECBC project officers of All India Institute of Local Self Government on whole building performance method. He is involved in developing curriculum with IDSPL for academia to disseminate industry experiences to next generations.
